We Are Scientists - Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt
by Oliver St John
Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt is the latest single from We Are Scientists, and perhaps their strongest track to date. This Brooklyn-based power-pop trio effortlessly craft catchy hooks without sacrificing any of the power of their delivery. This single, drawn from their first full-length album With Love And Squalor, highlights what is fast becoming a WAS trademark: Keith Murray's voice is reminiscent of the Human League's Phil Oakey, and perfectly complemented by Chris Cain's offbeat bass riffs. The appropriately-named Michael Tapper round out the trio with some thunderous drumming, putting the power in WAS' power-pop.
